On the most auspicious day of Saka Dawa, Khentrul Rinpoche’s Root Guru entered into Parinirvana. As a global community we will do an online Guru Puja for Lama Lutrin in Zoom.This is an incredible opportunity to honour the lineage masters. All meritorious activities done on this day are multiplied by 100,000 million times. Saka Dawa is a celebration of the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and Maha parinirvana. The Guru Puja is a most profound practice . It encompasses all of the Dharma path to enlightenment. It contains the complete, ground, path and result. It is the highest of the Guru Yoga practices and so we are very fortunate to have a chance to practice it.May this offering create the conditions for the Jonang Dharma to Flourish throughout all space and time.

Khentrul Rinpoche has kindly agreed to discuss how to prepare for the 4 Higher Empowerments for the benefits of lay practitioners world wide. The 4 Higher Empowerments of Kalachakra are considered the gateway to the completion stage. They are traditionally given before the students learn the 1st yoga. In older times, the masters in the Jonang lineage would only bestow this empowerment privately upon the students who were ready for it. Currently this empowerment is often given before the 3 Isolations retreat which the monks would do on their 3 year retreat before starting the 6 yogas.
Often times students who attend many empowerment ceremonies, collect the empowerments and don’t have clarity on what you are supposed to do at each step. Rinpoche will explain what his expectations are for students after they have received the Kalachakra Initiation to prepare themselves for the Higher Empowerment. He will give a flexible approach to understanding prepeartion. This is a good time to ask all your questions about this process. This is the first time ever Rinpoche has agreed to do a session on this and has agreed to do it publicly so as to benefit as many aspiring practitioners as possible.
The Higher Empowerment is by bestowed by Khentrul Rinpoche by application only. Because of the pandemic, Rinpoche has not been able to travel to give this for the past 2 years. We have an application form open for students to request the empowerment. If enough qualified students are ready for this, Rinpoche may consider giving this later in the year in a private online zoom.

In order to better support our International Community with the foundational Buddhist teachings and the Kalachakra Ngondro in many languages, Khentrul Rinpoche has kindly agreed to offer a teacher training program. Some people have confusion about who can teach Dharma to whom and what. For some students they believe only a Vajra master can teach while others may have a more flexible position. In this talk Rinpoche will help us understand the various levels of teachers through root Guru that we may encounter on our path and how all of them have something to offer us. This way he will answer questions to what kind of qualities someone needs to have to become a Dharma teacher. A person may be qualified to teach beginner meditation and have different qualities then a student teaching Buddhist Philosophy or the Kalachakra Ngondro.
In Tibet is quite common for senior students in the monastery to teach more junior monks. The Lamas do not teach all the details or lead all the practices sessions of retreats and practices. They are led by students. As our global community is mainly lay practioners we also need to develop a broad and flexible approach to be able to benefit our full community.
The teacher training program will start at the end of 2021/ beginning of 2022. For those who are interested in teaching Buddhist fundamentals or the Kalachakra ngondro in various languages to the community, Rinpoche encourages you to take his Ngondro Course and Foundations of Dharma course he is offering this year. Also he says that we need a variety of skills and qualities to be an effective teacher. So if you have aspiration to help others through the Dharma, then this is an opportunity to consider.
The teacher training program is open to bilingual applicants. You must must be able to speak English or Tibetan for Rinpoche to properly access your personal qualities. About the Land of Shambhala Consecration When we consecrate the land, we ask permission from all classes of beings and spirits to use the Land. For beings that may not be friendly to the project we use wrathful methods to clear them away. Then all the Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Deities are invited to the Land to make it Holy. This is an important part step before building a Temple, Stupa, Statues or Prayer wheels on the land.
About this 21 Taras Drolmi Kazug Fortune Tower Puja To bless the Land of Shambhala, we have spent months building 2-3 meter tall Drolmi Kazug Fortune Pillars on the Land of Shambhala in a spot in which we will build a 4 meter by 4 meter Fortune Palace in the Food Forest. Khentrul Rinpoche spent so many months preparing to do this last year that we have the supplies in order to do this again. Because of our continued economic and health situation in the world, Rinpoche would like to do this offering practice. It has both worldly and dharmic benefits to create success in all areas of life. This is to get rid of all the bad luck and replace it with all the possibilities for fortune and success.
Often times people want to solve their large worldly problems or obstacles in a very simple way. They try a practice or two to remedy the problem but their wishes are not fulfilled. This is because the remedy is too small and simple to actually create the correct conditions. For anything to happen there are millions of karmic conditions that have to ripen. Also for anything to ripen, the amount of our own generosity and conditions we put into the remedy affect the result.
This Jonang Drolmi Kazug puja was revealed from a mind terma of Lama Yonten Sangpo and Lama Lodro Drakpa. It is the most detailed and extensive offering puja to create causes and conditions to ripen good luck and fortune. It works with every aspect of our natal astrological chart. In it we make offerings to an incredible number of classes of beings that we normally ignore in our day to day life to affect these karma areas determined at the moment of your birth.
It purifies the participants unfixed karmas which create obstacles such as diseases, spirit or demon harm, and bad fortune so that we may experience fame, good fortune, prosperity, vitality, long-life and good health to practice the dharma to benefit all sentient beings. This works on everything on the unseen level. Rinpoche deity has indicated to him that now is the right time to do this puja for us for the first time. Together we need to create the best possible conditions to manifest the Golden Age of Peace and Harmony.
