Yoga Nidra Sound Bath
This event is available In-person only.
10 spots each session.
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a practice that allows you to experience a state of consciousness between being awake and asleep. During Yoga Nidra, your body is at rest while your mind remains alert and aware. One hour of Yoga Nidra practice is said to be as restorative for the body as four hours sleep. The yoga Nidra script will be coupled with beautiful sounds of instruments such as the Tibetan bowls, koshis, gongs, shakers and incorporates yogic breathing (Pranayama) to move you into deep relaxation and restoration.
Sessions take between 60-90 minutes each.
*Note – Rime is a fully volunteer run organization. All proceeds from tickets go to the temple upkeep and running costs
Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is usually called as such as the sounds tend to wash over you like water. Sound healing is a non-invasive healing and relaxation technique facilitated by a sound practitioner. The combination of sounds creates the environment for the body to go into its own natural healing state.
Who is a sound bath suitable for?
A public sound bath is suitable for most people. As a general rule, sound healing in a group setting is very safe, as instruments will not be played on the body. The one main exception is for people with sound-induced epilepsy and for people experiencing acute mental health conditions. Please review the health and safety document to make sure that a sound bath is right for you:
