More than 2,500 years have passed since the Buddha shared his profound Dharma, yet its relevance has never faded. These teachings are meant to be lived, not merely studied — a timeless wisdom that brings clarity, compassion, and genuine happiness into our daily lives.

In our beginner’s Buddhism class, we’ll explore Book One of Khentrul Rinpoche’s “Unveiling Your Sacred Truth” series, discovering how the foundations of Buddhism can bring deeper meaning, balance, and purpose to our lives right now.

Join Vanessa for friendly discussions, guided reflections, and Q&A on key topics such as the nature of mind, karma, rebirth, cyclic existence, and Buddhism as a path to freedom.

As a drop-in class — you’re welcome to join at any time, with no prior experience required. We warmly welcome everyone, from complete beginners to those with some background in Buddhist thought.

To make the most of the class, we recommend (though it’s not required) purchasing a copy of Unveiling Your Sacred Truth: Book 1 – The External Reality, available online or from our shop if attending in person.

    Influenced by Buddhist principles since her late twenties, Vanessa came to the Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute in 2012. After attending teachings by Khentrul Rinpoche, and sincerely applying what she had learned to her own life, her mere interest in Buddhism shifted to one of life changing momentum.

    Since then, Vanessa has taken part in numerous retreats and empowermentsfrom Khentrul Rinpoche in India, Indonesia and Australia. She has also had the great fortune to attend other Kalachakra empowerments by renowned Lama’s such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tulku Jamyang Zhinpa and Lama Nanthong. Vanessa has worked as an assistant editor on several of Khentrul Rinpoche books and been activity involved in the many projects at Rime. Happily devoted to Rinpoche, she currently teachers beginner’s meditation where she hopes to help others experience the transformative effects of the precious Dharma path.
