Jonang Kalachakra Retreat [UPDATED]
The Tibetan Buddhist Rimé Institute is currently in the process of evaluating the possibility of organising this event, but we need to see if there is interest from within the community. If you will be in Bodhgaya around the end of January or can travel there for this retreat, then please contact us and express your interest to attend the retreat. If there is sufficient response, then we will make the necessary arrangements.

Tentative Retreat Program
|Days 1-3||Kalachakra Preliminary Practices (Ngöndro)
Rinpoche will provide the oral transmission and instructions for the preliminary practices as presented in the “The Divine Ladder” by Jetsun Taranatha.
|Days 4-5||Seven Empowerments of Entering Like a Child
These empowerments introduce the participants to the Kalachakra Mandala and provide authorisation for engaging in the Kalachakra Generation Stage practices.
|Days 6-8||Innate Kalachakra Mantra Retreat
Participants will receive instructions for the unique preliminary practice of Innate Kalachakra. This group retreat will consist of four practice sessions each day, with the aim of becoming familiar with the visualisation and accumulating mantras.
|Day 9||Four Higher Empowerments
Participants will receive the empowerments that authorise them to practice the Kalachakra Completion Stage, also known as the Six Vajra Yogas.
|Days 10-13||Three Isolations Retreat
In this four-day meditation retreat, participants will receive instruction for the unique dark-room practice known as the “Three Isolations”. This is an especially efficient way to develop the meditative state of single-pointed concentration (Shamatha). The first day will be dedicated to receiving instructions, followed by three practice days of four sessions each day.
|Day 14||Introduction to the Six Vajra Yogas
Rinpoche will introduce the general structure and purpose of these profound completion stage practices.
